Does Listary search inside files?

No. Listary searches filenames and folder names. If a file is named Document (4).pdf, Listary can't tell you it's your tax return. Filect indexes the content of files, including text inside screenshots and scans through OCR, and lets you find them with natural language.

What Listary Does

Listary lives in your keyboard. Double-tap Ctrl anywhere and a search bar pops up; type a few letters and it finds files, folders, and apps by name, instantly. Its killer feature is File Explorer integration: in any save or open dialog, just start typing and jump straight to the folder you need.

For workflow speed, it's superb. The free version covers most needs and the Pro license is a one-time $20. If you know your files by name, Listary makes Windows feel dramatically faster.

What it doesn't do is look inside files. It matches the letters you type against filenames. A PDF named "Document (4).pdf" is invisible to Listary unless you type "document (4)."
